Alex Stewart, SOSE’s Head of Sustainability said:
“This programme offers a transition to a green economy for businesses in the Scottish Borders which will put them in a strong position for future opportunities.
“These include cost savings, access to funding or supply chain opportunities by meeting funder and customer requirements, alongside managing the risks associated with a changing climate.
“With COP30 now underway, our businesses will play a vital role in both the South of Scotland’s transition and the national transition to Net Zero. We believe this business support programme will prove an excellent tool to assist regional companies on their journey.”
Mhairi Cochrane, ECCI Climate Springboard programme manager said:
“We’re delighted to be working with SOSE and to welcome Scottish Borders businesses onto the programme.
“With the right support, businesses can help accelerate the region’s Net Zero ambitions.
“Our aim is to make preparing for Net Zero simple, relevant and practical for organisations already under pressure.
“Climate action doesn’t need to be costly or complicated. When people are supported to get started, it delivers real economic and social benefits.
“We are here to help businesses unlock those opportunities."
