Community support

Here to support our communities

We will work with you to empower your communities and help you meet your needs. This may be supporting you in building capacity within your community, in taking on a local asset, or in developing a social enterprise or community business.

We will also work with you to better understand the valuable contribution you make to the economy and wellbeing of the region.

This will ensure we develop the appropriate support, including advice and funding, that will enable you to take forward and realise your aspirations.

Community and Third Sector Recovery Programme

Part of a £350m support package by the Scottish Government for the sector in response to the Coronavirus pandemic, the £25m Community & Third Sector Recovery Programme aims to support charities, community groups, social enterprises and voluntary organisations that are supporting people and communities through the shift from lockdown to recovery. As well as providing ongoing crisis support, they will be planning and implementing changes to adapt and thrive in a very different social and economic climate.

The programme is now open and has two strands: Adapt & Thrive Programme aims to support organisational change; Communities Recovery Fund aims to support the delivery of services in communities that were suspended or reduced because of COVID-19, or the creation of new services that tackle new challenges presented.

We will work with our Scottish Government funded partner organisations to ensure clients receive the right level of support that meets their individual needs
