First role advertised for transformational Center Parcs Scottish Borders village
One of the first roles for the new Center Parcs Scottish Borders village has been advertised - the beginning of what will ultimately become one of the largest inward investments our region has seen.
The single vacancy for a Senior Conservation Ranger is the first of what is expected to be 1,200 year-round jobs at the new Center Parcs new development near Hawick.
In the heart of Scotland's Natural Capital Innovation Zone, Center Parcs will offer:
• High-quality employment
• Training
• Career opportunities for people across the South of Scotland.
Donna Marshall, SOSE’s Head of Investment Promotion said:
“What excites us most is the opportunity this creates for future generations.
“From apprenticeships and entry-level positions through to specialist and leadership roles, this investment has the potential to give many young people the chance to build rewarding careers without leaving the region they call home.
“This milestone is also a reminder of what can be achieved through partnership at both local and national levels.
“Securing an investment of this scale has taken years of dedication, persistence and collaboration from many people across the public and private sectors.
“The first vacancy for a Senior Conservation Ranger is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping shape and protect the natural environment from day one.
“If you know someone who may be interested, please help spread the word by sharing this opportunity with your networks.”
