Innovation and entrepreneurship landscape in the South

New partnership to discover more about innovation and entrepreneurship landscape in the South

We are delighted to announce that we are partnering with innovation agency Metta to support founders and entrepreneurs in the South of Scotland region.

Over the next few months, we will work with Metta alongside many stakeholders from the South of Scotland on a research project which seeks to document details of the innovation and entrepreneurship landscape in the area.

We will be looking at companies that are already established in the region and meeting with aspirational business leaders to learn about their challenges, what industries are most prevalent and gaining an understanding of how these organisations work from a sustainability perspective.

What is the aim of the project?

  • Learning from the founders and businesses in the South of Scotland to identify what existing public and private support is available to these businesses

  • Exploring what more can be provided in terms of advice, mentoring, events, networking connections and more.

  • As a starting point, Metta has launched a virtual (video or phone) call, where they will offer free impartial business advice and support based on their own experiences as entrepreneurs and their time designing and delivering business support programmes.

  • These office hour calls are designed to help founders and entrepreneurs optimise their team, business and product, as well as providing them with first-hand insight and experience on how to take their business ideas to the next level.

  • Anyone who is interested in arranging a virtual call with Metta can check their availability on Calendly.

  • Alternatively, if you cannot find a suitable time, please contact wil@metta.partners.com

  • Metta will also be hosting an in-person drop-in session during May, with details confirmed by Metta soon.
